I’m looking for recommendations for books or resources on realtime animation programming. Specifically topics related to animation response to physics events. I recently worked on an implementation of character leg / foot IK (inverse kinematics) but I’d love to find out more about other strategies for that type of animation modification based on the character’s environment.
Our animators have ideas for lots of secondary motion they would like to drive with a combination of animation and code, some fairly complex. So if you have anything interesting to link me to then please post it in the comments. Thanks! I’ve been searching a bit myself and have found a few interesting articles on GamaSutra but nothing that goes into the kind of detail I’d like. Perhaps it just doesn’t exist yet?
