While I continue to suffer without Internet at home (just got the call today that the photocopy of my ID wasn’t good enough and I have to go back a store to have them fix it – yay!) I’m currently trying to help finalize preparations for myself and 11 of my coworkers to visit GDC this year. I’m really looking forward to being back in California even if it’s just for a short visit and as always I believe GDC to be useful and inspirational.
Regarding the event itself I’m curious to see what kind of reactions my Japanese coworkers will have. Many are going to GDC for the first time and I’m curious how much they will get out of it or if they will have the same feeling that I get from seeing all the cool stuff other people in the industry are doing. My schedule is going to be quite tight with attending sessions, product demos, and various after-parties which unfortunately leaves little time to mess around and have fun in my home town.
That said if you are reading this, I know you, and you are going to GDC lets meet up! It’s been over 3 months now since I’ve met with any of my friends from back home and it would be great to see all of you. If you know me you should have my private e-mail address already. Shoot me a mail or leave a comment and lets try to organize a moment to at least briefly say hi.
I will see you there my friend!
yo homie, it’s kwong…get the internets. i linked your blog to mine.
